It affects it. But it is negligible (compared to other factors or parameters).
Physics is all about that. What event, or event probability is not negligible, to be taken into account for the representation of the universe (in the sens of system) you are studying.
When this is set, it is just applying mathematical models. Computers can do it. But if the representation of your system is wrong, everything then is doomed.
This why physics is so difficult to assess within complex systems. What is negligible, and do we know all factors that could modify the understanding of the system that is being studied?
