The bandwagon fallacy you describe induce positive thinking toxicity for 2 reasons. Unlike what you did to correct the thumbnail, people avoid posting comment to express different points of views, or they force themselves to be positive.

I'm new to Medium, and for what I've seen there is only few disagreement posts.

Maybe it is just because of the small format for the comment, on the side, which doesn't favor constructed replies?
