Plato, Descartes and Buddha did not speak about simulation, but about the illusion our minds create. Many physicists will tell you that it does not rely on anything concrete, and they'll call it pseudo-science.

I don't say it is a false theory. I say its proponent should use real science to prove it, not philosophy or spirituality. The correct appellation should be "prospective science."
