I'm sorry to have to say that, but apart for philosophy of science, it does not!
Philosophy is the great great father of science. But there is a solution: neuroscience. It brings to philosophy the factual basement that traditional philosophy lacks.
At the beginning of last century, German philosophy was the most advanced one. It did not prevent Nazism.
Thanks to neuroscience we can observe material and measurable facts, and build better philosophies that lie on science at their core.
