As a preliminary. I would say that I don't know you and I have nothing against you. But I find your post as an insult to billions of people who are struggling to survive. I haven't taken it personally because I've been lucky enough to be on the right side of the fence. The fence between the lucky ones, and the less lucky from life. A friend of mind used to say: "There is no whore in life, life is a whore". So please, don't take my comment too personally, even I your post gave me the urge to respond.

To end my preliminary, I'd say we all write for a specific target. Here, on Medium, I bet we all are kind of lucky ones, definitely not the disadvantaged ones. Our struggles are mainly what am I going to eat today, and other bourgeois style problems. I have nothing against bourgeoisie. We all should have the possibility to have or choose to have a roof on our head at night, eat well enough, slip tight, and raise children giving them the best possible education. We are mainly a left-wing lucky population, the ones believing that we could do much better as a society, helping others for the benefice of all of us.

Out of one's mind. I think that this is the worse default one can have. It is also the most common. Most philosophies agree that problems come from the illusion in which we are all plunged in. Your post is out of reality.

You should explain your "old money mindset" philosophy to all poor lads that struggle to survive! When one has to keep its nose to the grindstone just to stay in the rat race. At best they wont listen to that nonsensical advice. It's easy to be confident and welcoming, not subject to negative emotions, when you have barriers around you protecting you and your family from the harsh world of the jungle outside. You know, barriers that only money helps you to build.

That kind of thinking is out of reality. Out of reality like when Marie Antoinette, Queen of France just before the French Revolution, advice the people to eat croissants and brioche instead of the lacking bred--"They don't have any bread? Let them eat cake!" They were starving to death, and she insulted them. They chopped her head and they were right!

But you could tell me that this article is only for its targeted population, like old money mindset is only for wealthy or just favored ones like us. If that kind of advice were working the world would be a better place to live. Do you really imagine that people prefer to live in a dystopian world than living in a "nice and positive" one if they could. It's like telling a wheelchair fellow that they could run faster if they were using legs.

I'm sure you didn't want to insult anyone. The same for me--again I have nothing against you.I'm even one of your follower. But you must understand that if people don't have your old money mindset is not because they don't want, but because they can't: they have to fight hard to survive, even the lucky ones. "Never complain, never explain" Elisabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom used to say. It's the same kind of advice, only made for wealthy royalties.
